1.CGI 2013 Kicks off:The Clinton Global Initiative is hosting its annual gathering under the theme "mobilizing for impact." Leaders from various sectors will gather to develop new ideas, create partnerships, and take action at one of the most high-profile social events of the year. (New York, Sept. 23 - 26)

2.Doing some social good:Global leaders are gathering at Mashable's Social Good Summit to ponder how to make the world a better place through new media and technology. This three-day conference is packed with a diverse line-up of unique speakers including Astronaut Ron Garan. (New York City, Sept. 22 - 24)
