Why a Long-Lasting Project Must Involve Enthusiasm for Your AudienceYour new podcast or TV show will live longer if it's not just for yourself.

In thsi video, Entrepreneur Network partner Greg Rollett talks about creating a new venture not simply to build an audience and monetize the project. A new undertaking will be most successful when it is fueled by passion and enthusiasm for those on the other side. If you're constantly dragging yourself to work and forcing yourself to go through the motions, then the project itself may not be worth it. Consistently focusing on building revenue or getting likes and comments is inferior to sincerely caring about your project and your audience.
Rollett gives the example of a TV show. If you are constantly thinking about yourself ("How am I coming off on camera?" "Do my clothes look all right?") over how your audience is perceiving the value of your content, then your show may not be sustainable. Rollett stresses having a unique point of view and developing a new project from something your care about and wish to share (rather than keep up with other people). So, to create content that lasts, consider your audience and make sure you're not simply in it for yourself.
