Asreported yesterday, an explosion destroyed one ofElon Musk's SpaceX Falcon 9 rockets atCape Canaveral in Florida. The blast occurred during a propellant fill operation, according to Musk:

Loss of Falcon vehicle today during propellant fill operation. Originated around upper stage oxygen tank. Cause still unknown. More soon.

The Falcon 9 was carrying aFacebooksatellite designed to bring internet connectivity areas of Africa. After the accident, a disappointed Zuckerberg posted from Africa:
