How do I sell companies or ad agencies my independent advertising ideas?

ByAl Lautenslager

I have these really great scripts for commercials for about 10 or 12 different companies. I have no experience in this field and I would like to know if I could sell my ideas and slogans direct to the company or to an ad agency.
Attach your scripts to a resume and apply for a job as an ad writer. Your best bet is a radio station. Ad agencies, as you menioned, also employ ad writers. Unfortunately, ideas, scripts and slogans are rarely, if ever, bought off the street.
